Sr Solutions Architect I
We’re actively seeking a talented Sr Solutions Architect I to join our BPM Enablement Platform team in Charlotte, NC. This role is hybrid as we believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.
As a Sr Solutions Architect I, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long‑term success by ensuring the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and integrated platform solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements. Acting as a trusted advisor, the solutions architect partners with application and project teams, engineers, analysts, and business users to build and deploy platform solutions.
The position requires expertise in BPM technologies, cloud‑native architectures, and enterprise integration, combined with leadership and collaboration skills to influence outcomes and deliver measurable business value.
- Design and develop operational efficiency focused platform solutions that achieve business outcomes and implement desired solution architecture.
- Serve as technical point‑person on the BPM platform for critical foundational technologies (e.g., Appian, Chorus, Power Automate, Power Apps) in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Assist with the development of modernization roadmaps for foundational platform technologies.
- Ensure designed solutions align with the Enterprise Architecture best practices, and that solutions are implemented as designed.
- Ensure BPM platform solutions meet non‑functional requirements (NFRs) such as performance, scalability, and security.
- Oversee transition from legacy systems to BPM platforms, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption.
- Offer hands‑on participation when needed to ensure timely delivery of updates and changes.
- Monitor system performance and optimize architecture for efficiency.
- Translate business requirements into platform technical solutions and communicate them clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical advice and maintain strong relationships with business partners.
- Participate in PI planning and backlog prioritization for BPM platform initiatives.
- Experience with Appian, Chorus/AWD, Automation technologies (Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.), and C#
- Java or .Net expertise
- Ability to communicate with developers and business personnel effectively
- 5+ years of software development
- 4‑year degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with AI and Machine Learning
- Master’s degree or higher in a related field
- Experience working in the life insurance industry
- Evidence of increasing levels of responsibility
- Experience with containerization technologies, AWS, and Spring Framework
- Understanding of common architectural patterns (12‑factor, Enterprise Integration Patterns, etc.)
