Overview

Bright Heights Learning Center is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the following age groups:
Infants.

Position

Lead Teacher opportunity for Infants with the organization.

Qualifications

To be QUALIFIED for the Lead Teacher opportunity, we require a high school diploma. An associate degree or higher is preferred, and the ability to pass all background checks as well as six months of experience within a licensed childcare facility.

Schedule & Compensation

Required Shift: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm

Compensation: $16–$18 per hour, based on education and experience

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
  • Implement lesson plans and curriculum on a weekly basis, covering all areas of child development, and carry out lesson plans according to the classroom schedule/daily routine; use the parent communication app efficiently.
  • Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
  • Maintain the safety and well-being of each child, respond to emotional needs, and keep an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
  • Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, and conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during November and May.
  • Maintain physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
  • Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
