Construction Superintendent
A leading commercial construction firm seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee ground-up and renovation projects in the Newport News/Hampton Roads market. This individual will manage all field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has successfully managed projects in the $10M-$15M range and possesses strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all field operations for construction projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain and adhere to project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality.
- Lead and manage projects valued between $10M-$15M.
- Manage multiple subcontractors and complex project schedules.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Essential
Skills:
- 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Proven experience leading projects valued between $10M-$15M.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
- Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site full-time.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Experience with ground-up commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, or public-sector projects.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $ - $/hr.
