TPMG Behavioral Health, a busy, established out‑patient office in the Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group, is seeking a full‑time BC/BE adult outpatient Psychiatrist to join our expanding team. We value building trust with our patients and partner with them to manage psychological and physical symptoms, improving their quality of life.

On‑call is quarterly, low volume, and telephone only.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and patients, and will work independently while being a team player. They will be an expert in medication management and building therapeutic rapport. The candidate will be comfortable treating the general adult/geriatric population with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders, evaluating patients to determine mental status and medication needs, and implementing the correct treatment plan.

• Graduation from an accredited school of Medicine or DO school
• Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in Psychiatry
• One or more years of Psychiatry experience preferred
• Ability to obtain a DEA license, be licensed to practice in Virginia, and hold current BLS and ACLS certification
• Ability to see 15‑18 patients per day (or more based on the candidate’s efficiency)
• VA license
• COVID‑19 vaccination required
