Role Description

This is a part-time Optometrist role with the potential for full-time in the future, based on mutual agreement and organizational needs. The Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage vision conditions, work closely with patients to ensure proper care plans, and co-manage treatment with other eye care professionals. The role is on-site and located at our Newport News, VA office.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in conducting comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing vision issues, and prescribing corrective lenses.
  • Knowledge of ocular health assessments and proficiency in detecting and managing common eye diseases such as glaucoma and cataracts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and fellow healthcare professionals effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster positive patient relationships.
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program and a current optometry license in the state of Virginia.
  • Commitment to maintaining knowledge of the latest advancements in optometry and staying compliant with professional standards.
