The RoleThis is an UNPAID internship through the Hire Vets Now (HVN) Skill Bridge Program for transitioning active‑duty U.S. military personnel. The internship provides real‑world experience during the final 180 days of active service, allowing the intern to work on meaningful projects under the guidance of a mentor and senior company leadership.
Project Management Analyst DescriptionThe intern will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as a liaison between project management, planning, project teams, and line management. Responsibilities include reviewing project status and budgets, managing schedules, preparing status reports, assessing project issues, and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client‑satisfaction goals.
- Develop a solid understanding of operational control center (OCC) support and basic submarine fundamentals.
- Familiarization and utilization of web‑based tools such as SAP and Microsoft Office applications, logistics support, etc.
- Basic understanding of AWP integration, NNS planning, and material tracking.
- Collaboration and coordination with team members to resolve problems and meet mission requirements.
- Monitoring vendor cost/performance, schedule, and contracts.
- Developing an understanding of SUBSAFE processes related to Reentry Certifications (REC) tracking and problem resolution.
• Active‑duty military only within the final 180 days of service. Transitioning military candidates may begin applying within the final 12 months of service. Education and experience requirements depend on the Program of Instruction.
