Lead Test Engineer for the A4W Nimitz Class RCOH Program
Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is excited to offer an opportunity to join our growing team. We are seeking a Lead Test Engineer for the A4W Nimitz Class RCOH Program. In this role, you will support task execution by applying Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and Tag-out User's Manual (TUM) requirements to system maintenance and testing during a depot-level maintenance period.
You will work within the E84 SEP Test Engineering department throughout a nuclear ship's maintenance cycle. This position is based at Newport News Shipyard in Newport News, VA.

Job Responsibilities:
- Translates customer contractual requirements into effective system test strategies that account for technical, scheduling, and cost considerations.
- Develops and oversees the creation and execution of detailed test plans, procedures, and schedules for system completion.
- Coordinates all integrated testing efforts across relevant teams and systems.
- Reviews and assesses test requirements to ensure the test program is complete and comprehensive.
- Conducts technical analysis of full systems and prepares thorough system-level evaluations and reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Candidates must have demonstrated experience with Navy Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) and tag-out processes utilizing the electronic Shift Operating Management System (eSOMS) or E-Tagout.
- Candidates must be capable of working effectively in a shipboard environment.
- An active Secret security clearance is required.
- Must have prior experience in Navy nuclear operations or nuclear-related systems is essential.
- Candidates must be U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Requirements:
- Fundamentals of engineering license is preferred.
- Experience in coordinating multi-trade projects is a plus.
- Experience in applying the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM)/Tag-out User's Manual (TUM) requirements to systems maintenance and testing in a depot level maintenance period is preferred.
- Prior Nuclear Navy or Shipyard experience is desired.
Physical Requirements:
Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
