Engineering Technician 2

• Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
• Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
• Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
• Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
• Conduct preliminary analyses of data, including trajectory adequacy and model dimensional consistency
• Make quantitative judgments concerning technical data
• Use personal computers to perform analyses and develop documentation and reports
• Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
• Support vendor software coordination within the department

• Associate's Degree and 1 years of relevant experience
• Equivalent pathways: NNS Apprentice School graduate;
  Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate;
  High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience; or High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Preferred but not required:
  Proficiency in Excel/Microsoft Office
• Preferred but not required:
  Familiarity with SAP
• Preferred but not required:
  Understanding process flow
• Preferred but not required:
  Strong communication skills
• Preferred but not required:
  Previous technical experience

Demonstrates expertise in technical support, data analysis, and engineering documentation. Proficient in mathematical calculations and familiar with software tools for data management and reporting.
