The Role
Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.
Experience with the following ships systems on RCOH or new construction carriers to include but not limited to:
Machinery Control and Monitoring (MCMS), Alarms (CKT FD and FL), Lighting Systems (general ship, darken ship, NEALS and REBAL, hangar bay, searchlights, catwalk lighting and floodlights, flight deck and landing area, night flight and navigation and signal).
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience.
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

This position will be responsible to collect data, review, coordinate and conduct a variety of test procedures across various ship systems. The job will require hands on deck plate support as well as providing technical guidance and troubleshooting. The candidate should be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers including waterfront construction management, design engineering, test engineering, SUPSHIP, NAVSEA, and Ship's Force, being able to report overall status to supervisor.
The candidate will be responsible for performing reviews on test issuance/completion status, making sure the Test Plan of the Day is updated, providing system status and turnover and identifying and recommending resolutions for system and programmatic issues as well as support the overall E25 contract performance metrics (scheduling, budgeting and scoping).
