Electrical Engineer

• Work with NNS, EB, and NNL engineers to develop advanced electric concepts involving generators and motors
• Communicate regularly with internal management and internal and external engineers via email, phone, and in-person meetings
• Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
• Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
• Present electrical concepts

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience;
  Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience; or Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program required
• U.S. citizenship required
• Experience developing or maintaining generators and/or electric motors preferred
• Established modeling skills using MATLAB, Simulink, and other FEA software preferred
• Ability to communicate and present electrical concepts effectively
• Willingness/ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Demonstrates expertise in developing and testing electrical components and systems, with strong capabilities in modeling using MATLAB and Simulink. Effective communication and presentation skills are essential for collaborating with engineers and management.
