$35-$60 an hour (all inclusive)
Responsibilities of a Licensed Physical Therapist- Assisting in screening and initial evaluations of all patients performed by the physical therapist when requested.
- Executing treatment for patients assigned by the licensed or registered physical therapist for whom a treatment plan has been developed.
- Appropriately delivering treatment to achieve identified objectives according to the established treatment plan.
- Appropriately documenting progress toward identified objectives.
- Communicating patient status and needs to the patient, the patient's family, the staff, and other professionals.
- Establishing and maintaining courteous and helpful interaction patterns with staff, patient, and families which reflect sensitivity to individual needs and a problem-solving approach.
- Actively assisting in educating staff, other health care professionals, and the general community about physical therapy and VHRA services consistently.
- Attending facility patient care, utilization review, marketing, administrative staff/department head, and family conference committee meetings as directed by the physical therapist.
- Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with other health care professionals and colleagues in the community.
- Maintaining awareness of changes in patient populations, patient conditions, and programs.
- Keeping the licensed or registered physical therapist informed, directly and promptly, of patient progress and facility issues.
- Adhering to the requirements of the patient's Bill of Rights.
- Expanding and enhancing clinical techniques through interacting with therapists and other professional staff and by attending continuing education functions as approved.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Physical Therapy.
- Must hold a valid Virginia state license.
- Must show evidence of a current satisfactory physical examination and/or evidence of freedom from communicable diseases, where required by the state.
