It Support Technician

TEKsystems client is currently undergoing a new credit card processing system rollout and is looking for additional resources to handle inbound/outbound technical support. The additional support will be needed roughly through September through February, although the timeline may need to be extended.

• Handle inbound AND outbound calls from store associates
• Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service while maintaining a positive user experience.
• Respond to and resolve end-user incidents and service requests in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs).
• Troubleshoot basic credit card device issues or ...
• Diagnose and resolve common issues
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the organization's ticket management system.
• Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Tier 2 or specialized support teams.
• Support software installations, updates, and configuration tasks.
• Maintain accurate asset and inventory records as required.

• 1-2 years of experience in a help desk, service desk, technical support, or customer service environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Information Technology or related field is highly preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills

This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
