Bus Tech Programmer

• • Analyze, program, configure, test and implement cloud or on-premise software applications supporting business objectives
• • Manage aspects of the application/system life cycle related to citizen development
• • Coordinate with user groups to identify business-process improvement solutions
• • Implement changes, provide training, conduct user-focused activities, and prepare specifications
• • Plan, manage and implement application/system upgrades, integrations, and system maintenance with the enterprise software development organization
• • Align IT infrastructure with business processes and data to improve operational and research efficiency and productivity
• • Recommend changes to application/system environments through internal customization
• • Identify productivity and cost-reduction opportunities
• • Develop programming scripts to automate business-application functionality
• • Support expansion of Engineering, Technology, and Design divisions' SharePoint 365 migration and PowerBI data finding/metrics
• • Oversee the division's minor IT budget
• • Coordinate software and hardware purchases across departments
• • Track software renewals, hardware and upgrade requests
• • Ensure network licenses, renewals, purchase orders or SMAX tickets, seat reservations, user guidelines, and budget support are maintained
• • Support PC coordinator functions

• Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience, or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience, may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree
• NNS Apprentice School graduate may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree
• High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree
• High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree
• A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree
• Strong and proficient skills in Excel, SharePoint 365, PowerBI, and SAP
• Experience with web design and coding, Python/C++, Java, and JavaScript is desirable
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong technical and critical thinking skills
• Strong interpersonal and technical writing skills
• Ability to manage oversight of budgets and analytical work

Demonstrates expertise in analyzing, programming, and implementing cloud or on-premise software applications while managing the application/system life cycle. Proficient in utilizing tools like Excel, SharePoint 365, and PowerBI to enhance operational efficiency and support budget oversight.
