Systems Administrator, IT Support
About the position:
This position is a RFT (full-time) Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position assigned to the Ft Eustis IT (Information Technology) Department on Joint Base Langley-Eustis VA - Ft Eustis location. Position is guaranteed 35 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience;
if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Experience:
- Knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems sufficient to install, upgrade, test, troubleshoot, and maintain those systems; to optimize the functionality and performance of systems; and to ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.
- Ability to communicate factual and procedural information clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Must have and maintain a current driver's license.
- Must be able to occasionally work evenings and weekends and be on call.
- Must be able to lift IT equipment and boxes weighing approximately 50 pounds.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactorily completed Access National Agency Check with Inquiries (ANACI) for the Automated Information System resulting in a secret security clearance.
- Must have a Security + or other appropriate IA certification to meet DoD 8570-M requirements.
- Failure to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance and the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position
