We are seeking a Technical Writer to support documentation activities within a cloud and IT environment. This role will work closely with technical teams and subject matter experts to develop, organize, maintain, and update documentation supporting cloud infrastructure, Dev Sec Ops , security and compliance, incident management, cloud migration, and operational processes.
The Technical Writer will translate complex technical information into clear, accurate, and accessible documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities- Create, edit, maintain, and organize technical documentation supporting cloud projects, solutions, services, and processes.
- Collaborate with cloud engineers, developers, security personnel, program teams, and other subject matter experts to gather and document technical information.
- Develop and maintain procedures, process documentation, technical reports, user guides, reference materials, and other supporting documentation.
- Document cloud infrastructure and operational processes involving compute, storage, networking, identity and access management, monitoring, and related cloud services.
- Support documentation associated with Dev Sec Ops processes, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and operational procedures.
- Develop and maintain documentation supporting security and compliance activities, including applicable federal security requirements and standards.
- Support documentation associated with incident management, service availability, SLA requirements, and operational processes.
- Assist with documentation supporting cloud migration and consolidation activities, including discovery, assessment, planning, implementation, and optimization.
- Review and update existing documentation for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and usability.
- Assist with reports, recommendations, action plans, implementation plans, compliance tracking, and cloud-related program documentation.
- Support cloud research, requirements gathering, analysis, and coordination activities as needed.
- Bachelor s degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing technical documentation within an IT, technology, or cloud-related environment.
- Ability to understand and clearly document technical systems, processes, and solutions.
- Experience working with technical subject matter experts and stakeholders.
- Technical aptitude for cloud-based solutions.
- Strong technical writing, editing, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
