Amentum seeks an experienced Submarine ILS Supply Technician in Newport News VA. This is an active role, not a desk job , requiring hands-on support in warehouse and shipyard environments.
You will provide "deck plate" support right where the action is in the shipyard. You'llbe the go-to person for making sure parts and equipment get exactly where they need to go.
Key Responsibilities:Material Management: Manage inventories, shipping/receiving, and property control using digital and manual systems.
Warehouse Operations: Handle storing, stacking, and palletizing heavy government electronic equipment;operatehand/power trucks.
Quality & Data: Perform inspections,maintaintactical equipment configurations in proprietary systems, and manage discrepancy reporting.
Deck Plate Support: Provide direct, on-sitelogisticssupport to technicians and Navy personnel during submarine construction.
Coordination: Interface with various entities to manage equipment replenishment, replacement, and returns.
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
Note:
US Citizenship is required tomaintainan Active Secret US Government Clearance.- High School Diploma or GED.
- Five (5) years of experience, to include: supervisory or warehouse lead at a DoD facility;logistics support for projects involving electronic/ electrical repair and installation, ordering, acquisition, distribution of material,equipment and resources.
- Possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a government driving permit if required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to overcome issues at the lowest level.
- Ability to travel as required, up to 10% of the time
- Previous Navy/Submarine/shipyard supply technician experience.
