Job Overview

Purpose:

This position will maintain various floors by performing floor maintenance duties using equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

Maintain floors, use floor maintenance equipment and supplies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning supplies.
• Skilled in the use of floor maintenance equipment and supplies.
• Good organization skills.
• Ability to work in teams.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with floor maintenance and floor maintenance equipment.
• Experience with cleaning methods and cleaning supplies.
• Driver's license required.
• Previous experience working at a university (additional consideration).

Salary Information

Starting at $31,200, commensurate with education and experience.

Conditions Of Employment

• Classified position: 12‑month probationary period.
• New employees attend a 2‑day New Employee Orientation Program.

No telework eligibility. Light lifting (50 lb). Pushing/pulling, standing, sitting, bending, walking, climbing, reaching, repetitive motion, fast pace, average pace, multiple priorities, intense customer interaction, multiple stimuli, frequency changes, memory, reasoning, hearing, reading, analyzing, logic, verbal communication, written communication. Intensity all marginal.
