Project Superintendent Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Project Superintendent with a minimum of 5 years of construction experience. This role involves supervising all trade partners and collaborating with project team members to form an effective management team. The Project Superintendent will oversee, manage, and mentor staff on various projects and help develop and implement site logistic plans.

• Collaborate closely with all members of the project team to form an effective management team.
• Oversee, manage, and mentor staff on various projects.
• Develop and implement site logistic plans.
• Manage projects valued at $20 million or more.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent.
• Experience managing projects valued at $20 million or more.
• Proficient in reading and understanding technical specifications and architectural drawings.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Blue Beam, and various scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera, and Phoenix.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling.
• Excellent listening skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Active participant in a team environment.

• OSHA training required.
• Experience in commercial, healthcare, and multi-family construction.
• Proficiency in construction software such as Procore.

The role is based on-site with working hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Weather conditions may vary. Our company offers a vehicle allowance, technology package, two weeks of paid time off, and ten holidays. The company is small and family-owned yet operates and executes projects as a large general contractor. We are recognized in the Hampton Roads area and are looking to expand our reach into other locations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, Virginia.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Newport News,VA.
