We’re looking for dedicated Logistics Support professionals to join our Test Engineering Support Team. In this vital role, you’ll provide essential parts, assembly, and logistics support to the Test Engineering Department. Your work will directly impact New Construction Carrier, New Construction Submarine, and Submarine Overhaul Programs at Newport News Shipbuilding.

• Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked
• Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment
• Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components
• Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals
• Tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities
• Reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment
• Documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life‑cycle of product

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Candidate must have prior experience within the Logistics Support field
• Candidate must have experience handling shipping and receiving operations
• Position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to have a previously held clearance reactivate or ability to obtain an interim clearance. Any employment offer is contingent upon successful clearance reactivation
• Candidate must hold a valid Driver's License

• Prior Military experience as a Logistics Specialist
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with SAP systems

Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, transport heavy equipment and climb ladders.
