American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of recent L&D experience and a VA or compact RN license.

• Hospital Labor and Delivery unit setting
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00)
• 13-week assignment length
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Floating may be requested based on facility needs

• Active RN license (VA or compact) required to be in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required, with most recent experience in this specialty
• Specialty experience within the last year required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale education required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NRP through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• One supervisory reference required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care to laboring and postpartum patients in a hospital setting
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate
• Prior permanent employees must have separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Requested time off should be kept to a minimum, with a maximum of 7 days total and no full calendar weeks off during the assignment
• All time off requests must be submitted with the initial application, as no additional requests will be approved after an offer is made
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
