Riverside is currently seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider to join our Lifelong Health & Aging Related Services team in Newport News, Virginia.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dedicated interdisciplinary team focused on improving quality of life for patients with serious illnesses through comprehensive outpatient palliative care services.

Position Qualifications Nurse Practitioner Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in Virginia Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license with an appropriate specialty designation, including:

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC)
Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP-BC)
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC/FNP-C)
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), when applicable to palliative care practice

Current national certification through an approved certifying body (ANCC, AANP, AACN, or equivalent) corresponding to specialty designation

Physician Assistant Requirements Active and unrestricted Virginia Physician Assistant license

Current NCCPA certification

Prescriptive Authority Requirements Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain

Eligibility for Virginia Schedule II-VI prescriptive authority

Certifications

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred

Skills & Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
