The Jefferson Lab Theory Center is seeking to fill a Postdoctoral Fellow position to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will join the major nuclear physics SciDAC-5 project on "Femtoscale Imaging of Nuclei using Exascale Platforms". We are particularly interested in candidates who have strong interest and background in QCD factorization to observables sensitive to single and multiple dimensional hadron structures (encoded in both TMDs and GPDs), and their extraction from data using QCD global analyses and Bayesian inference.

In this role you will:
* Conduct first class research to contribute to the deliverables of the SciDAC-5 project
* Actively participate in discussions with the members of the project and communicate progress towards the milestones on a regular basis
* Disseminate the research work through articles in refereed publications, at conferences, workshops and seminars
* Actively participate in JLab's broad science program, including interactions with users, both in theory and experiment, and its outreach activities

Qualifications We Require:
Education:
A PhD in an appropriate area of theoretical physics is a prerequisite, together with a record of publications in leading journals and talks at workshops and conferences
Experience:
Recognized research program in theoretical nuclear and/or hadron physics that overlaps with the JLab scientific program
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Able to communicate clearly in writing (e.g. email, memos, explanations, drawings) and explain work to his/her supervisor and others in the group
* Interacts well with work group
* Can represent work associated with specific projects at professional meetings
