Summary/Objective
The bulk stocker is responsible for stocking, rotating presentation of all food, litter and any large‑sized item or as assigned by supervisor.
Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
- Stock shelves, counters or tables with merchandise.
- Use ladder to fill in stock from “top stock”.
- Check dates and rotate any item with expiration date, positioning due‑to‑expire items up front or on top shelves.
- Set up displays on end‑caps.
- Ensure correct pricing on product, particularly dog food.
- Upon 90 days of hire date, be able to successfully complete forklift certification training to safely operate vehicle.
- Assist customer with heavy/bulky items.
- Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock; ensure overstock is quickly executed.

This job operates in a retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that weigh more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This is a part time or full time position. Days and hours of work vary by schedule. Evening and weekend work are required as schedule demands.

Required Education And ExperiencePrevious retail or customer service experience.
Preferred Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma or G.E.D.
