As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Threat Detection in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns.

You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity. An armed guard card or license is required for this position.

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, screening visitors and deliveries, and documenting entry and exit activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using authorized equipment and following applicable post orders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
