QA, Inc. is currently seeking Software Developers to support the modernization of the DISA Global Command and Control Systems – Joint (GCCS-J) Family of Systems (FoS). The selected team member’s will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other developers on various Command and Control Systems.
In this position, you will support full life cycle product development on a variety of architectures and target hardware platforms. Selected individuals will likely begin working on the legacy platforms to build their knowledge of the product and to help identify your areas of interest/strengths. As you become more integrated into the teams you will begin shifting to the full-stack development, CI/CD, containerization, rapid deployment capabilities modernization efforts.
Additionally, you will perform unit testing and contribute to the development of software documentation.
- Java programming and industry accepted programming constructs/practices (e.g., thread pools, abstract class implementations, unit testing, concurrency)
- Experience with JavaScript UX Frameworks (e.g. Angular, ViewJS, React, etc.)
- Linux and Windows System Administration skills
- Source code management tools (e.g., CVS, Subversion, git)
- Cross-platform management (Windows and Unix/Linux data exchange)
- Virtual machine environments, Kubernetes, and Micro Service Architectures
- Understanding of test-driven software development
- Familiarity with:
Dev Ops, automated container deployment, running performance tests and debugging techniques, net-centric technologies, or database design/structures and associated orchestration tools and techniques
