Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. is a contractor providing services to government customers. This role supports the TRADOC Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence (G-2) Operational Environment (OE) and Core Functions.

The OE is a composite of conditions, circumstances, and influences that affect the employment of military forces and bear on the decisions of the unit commander. As an organic, complex system, the OE provides the common framework in which war fighting programs and strategies are conceived, defined, and executed. The Software Developer III will develop, verify, validate, accredit, and provide OE products and services for training and doctrine development, concept development, and capabilities integration.

• Work on systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to the development, operation, and maintenance of software to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Establish software information and engineering requirements for complex software systems that may contain millions of lines of code.
• Apply the discipline of software engineering to technical problems and procedures, including knowledge of tools and methods for requirements, design, construction, testing, and maintenance.
• Relate software engineering to disciplines such as computer science, engineering, management, mathematics, project management, quality management, ergonomics, and systems engineering.
• Meet or be able to meet certification and training requirements defined in DoD 8570.01.
• Meet or be able to meet applicable security certification requirements mandated in the Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program Manual, DoD 8570.01-M change 3.
• Work may take place at contractor site, government site, or a combination of the two.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
