VIRTUAL WEBSITE DEVELOPER - CONTRACT/REMOTE

VaVa Virtual Assistants is a remote company based in Atlanta, Georgia. We help businesses thrive by connecting them with forward professionals for specialized support across various industries. While our team is remote, we enjoy daily conversation, project collaboration, and all‑company virtual gatherings.

We are looking for a skilled Website Developer who can manage client accounts and relationships while delivering high quality web development services. The candidate should be self‑motivated, disciplined, and possess the expertise to act as a trusted advisor to our clients.

Operational Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality administrative support to clients and collaborate with VaVa team members as opportunities arise.
  • Effectively manage tasks, projects, and deadlines to meet client expectations.
  • Maintain open communication with clients, stakeholders, and the VaVa team.
  • Protect sensitive and confidential information at all times.
Responsibilities
  • Write clean, well‑designed, testable, efficient code using best software development practices.
  • Define audiences, buyer personas, and develop strategies to increase brand awareness and impressions.
  • Build, implement, and manage new website builds.
  • Create website layout and user interface using standard HTML/CSS practices.
  • Integrate data from various back‑end services and databases.
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Create and maintain software documentation.
  • Provide ongoing website maintenance, security, and support.
  • Define, measure, and report relevant website KPIs.
  • Work with designers to match visual design intent.
  • Stay updated on web development best practices and technologies.
  • Monitor and improve SEO, traffic metrics, and user engagement.
  • Suggest website strategy and content optimization.
  • Problem‑solve and make last‑minute adjustments as required by client preferences.
  • Communicate consistently, grammatically correct, and timely with clients.
  • Work confidently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Collaborate and present effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Use stellar grammar and organization in all written communications.
  • Learn client preferences and tailor work accordingly.
  • Perform other Web Developer tasks as requested.
General Qualifications
  • Must reside and be authorized to work in the United States.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in web development roles.
  • At least 5 years of experience working full‑time in a virtual role.
  • Available for high‑touch daily support and deliverable‑focused clients.
Technical Qualifications
  • Experience with various website‑building platforms.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common Word Press issues that cause downtime, usability problems, or security alerts.
  • Working knowledge of CSS to enhance and customize Word Press themes.
  • Familiarity with various web hosting platforms and ability to transfer Word Press sites across domains and hosts.
  • Well‑versed in Word Press plugins and using them to fulfill client functionality requests.
  • Ability to use design skills to create site layouts aligning with client vision.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, site load optimization, and user‑experience best practices.
  • Experience with e‑commerce platforms.
  • Experience with AI, APIs, and automation frameworks and workflows.
  • Strong experience with systems and technology such as Slack, project management tools, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.
