Overview
Software Engineer 3 in Newport News, VA / Hybrid contract. Salary range $46-$58/hr first shift. 8 hours per day. Core hours 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
- Supporting Automated Regression testing utilizing software such as Tricentis Tosca and Opentext UFT
- Managing, writing and executing automated test scripts supporting Siemens Teamcenter
- Knowledge share test automation skills among team members
- Knowledge of software testing
- Knowledge of automated testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca or Opentext UFT
- Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter
- Knowledge of agile software development principles
- Logical thinking

- Basic Qualifications:
Software Engineer 3 — 2 years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field; 0 years of relevant professional experience with a Master Degree
