£13.60p/h, paid weekly, every Friday
Monday – Friday, 6am – 5pm
£130 bonus, paid per weekend day worked
Our client, a leading business within the waste and recycling industry, is looking for a Telehandler Operator to join their busy site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator looking for ongoing work with a well-established company.
Don't have an in-date Telehandler licence? No problem. In-house or expired Telehandler licences will be considered, and if you have experience operating a Counterbalance or Reach FLT, full Telehandler training can be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities- Safely and efficiently operate a Telehandler to move waste and recyclable materials around the site.
- Carry out daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks, reporting any defects promptly.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company Health & Safety procedures, environmental legislation, and site rules.
- Work closely with site supervisors, plant operators, and colleagues to achieve daily production targets.
- Follow site traffic management procedures and remain aware of pedestrians, mobile plant, and other vehicles at all times.
- Wear and maintain the required PPE while promoting safe working practices across the site.
- Assist with general yard and recycling plant duties when required.
- Operate other mobile plant equipment where trained and authorised to support site operations.
- Previous experience operating a Telehandler is preferred.
- In-house or expired Telehandler licences are accepted.
- Candidates with Counterbalance or Reach FLT experience are encouraged to apply, as full Telehandler training can be provided.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach with a willingness to support the wider site operation.
