We are hiring an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our highly respected team in Newport. The Rewards- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year basic (Positioned directly within our standard bracket depending on experience).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00—mandate mandatory weekend shifts.

Your RoleAs a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Newport workshop, you will:
- Carry out routine servicing
, manufacturer safety inspections, and general mechanical maintenance. - Use high-spec diagnostic tools to systematically troubleshoot and resolve technical, electrical, and mechanical faults.
- Follow structured repair processes to deliver clean, safe "first-time fix" results.
- Collaborate with a supportive team to keep the workshop running smoothly across a wide range of vehicles.
- Qualifications &
Experience:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance with proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it). - Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required. - Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.

Situated in Newport, our facility offers a straightforward daily commute for candidates travelling from Cardiff, Cwmbran, Chepstow, Caldicot, Pontypool, Bristol, and the surrounding South Wales and South West areas.
