Position: Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Specialist (£35k-£40k)

We are hiring an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our highly respected team in Newport. If you want a secure weekday role with state-of-the-art factory tooling, premium brand training, and industry-leading holiday, we offer a £35,000–£40,000 basic salary, permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (08:00–17:00, no weekends), and a proper technician-first culture.

Your Role

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Newport workshop, you will:

  • Carry out routine servicing
    , manufacturer safety inspections, and general mechanical maintenance.
  • Use high-spec diagnostic tools to systematically troubleshoot and resolve technical, electrical, and mechanical faults.
  • Follow structured repair processes to deliver clean, safe "first-time fix" results.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team to keep the workshop running smoothly across a wide range of vehicles.
What You Need
  • Qualifications &

    Experience:

    NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance with proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
  • Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
    An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
  • Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
  • Key Strengths: Strong work ethic, reliable diagnostic skills, and a team-first mindset.

Situated in Newport, our facility offers a straightforward daily commute for candidates travelling from Cardiff, Cwmbran, Chepstow, Caldicot, Pontypool, Bristol, and the surrounding South Wales and South West areas.
