Planned preventative maintenance services are used to identify issues early, reduce downtime, and maintain safe, efficient operations.
The Door Fitter role at Rhino Site Systems Limited is a remote position. In this role, the Door Fitter will install, service, and maintain a range of industrial door systems to meet client specifications and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include carrying out site surveys, diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and completing planned preventative maintenance on doors and related systems. The Door Fitter will document all work carried out, follow relevant health and safety regulations, and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues to ensure efficient, high-quality service.
The role also involves collaborating with the wider engineering team to plan work schedules, order necessary parts, and support continuous improvement of installation and maintenance practices.
- Hands-on experience in installing, servicing, and repairing industrial doors, shutters, or similar mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices, including familiarity with workplace regulations and safe use of tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance documentation.
- Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
- Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with clients, site personnel, and team members.
- Capability to work independently in remote settings, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Relevant vocational or technical qualification in engineering, construction, or a related field is beneficial.
- Experience working in industrial, infrastructure, or engineering environments, particularly in high-security or safety-critical sectors, is an advantage.
