Working as part of a supportive engineering team within a market leading company, you will take ownership of the planned preventative maintenance, occasionally reactive on a range of Schneider electric switch gear and associated equipment, for one of our premium customers. The role involves carrying out inspections, maintenance, testing and repair of low voltage and high voltage switch gear and associated electrical distribution equipment at a critical facilities environment.
The successful candidate will support the safe and reliable operation of the electrical infrastructure through planned preventative maintenance.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on LV/HV switch gear.
- Conduct inspections, testing and condition assessments of the electrical switch gear and associated equipment.
- Carry out fault finding, repair of electrical switch gear.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports timely for both the customer and company.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning and modification of electrical systems.
- Support shutdowns, outages and planned project activities.
- Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, company procedures and health and safety legislation.
- participate in risk assessments, method statements and permit to work processes.
- Liaise with the customer, other Schneider engineers and sub-contractors and become a valued point of contact at the critical facility.
- Recognised electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds or equivalent in electrical maintenance.
- Basic experience working in industry or a commercial environment.
- Understanding of electrical safety procedures, LOTO and permit to work.
- Ability to use electrical test equipment and interpret results.
- Competent in maintaining maintenance records and completing work documentation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Be very self-motivated be efficient at time management.
- Strong commitment to safety.

- Ability to work independently
- Must hold a full UK drivers licence and passport
- Monday to Friday
- Site based role within a critical facility environment
- Occasional overtime may be required to support planned maintenance

For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 41,200 - GBP 61,800 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United Kingdom. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
