Auvergne Grain Co is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail‑oriented Part‑Time Office Administrative Assistant to join our team at a mid‑sized family farming operation and public grain warehouse. This is a year‑round position that plays an important role in supporting our customers, office operations, and grain business.
The ideal candidate is trustworthy, efficient, enjoys working with people, and is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced agricultural environment.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service in person and by phone.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
- Support general office operations and administrative tasks.
- Learn and assist with grain inventory, grain grading, and specialized grain software.
- Assist with additional office responsibilities as needed.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
- Willingness to learn new software and agricultural business processes.
- Human resources or payroll experience.
- Experience with accounting or inventory software.
Schedule:
This is a year‑round, part‑time position averaging 24–32 hours per week. Additional hours, including some evenings and weekends, will be required during harvest season (approximately mid‑August through November).
