Overview
Arkansas Early Learning (AEL) is a nonprofit organization serving the needs of vulnerable children ages birth to five and their families through Early Head Start and Head Start programs across Arkansas. AEL provides transformational learning opportunities in a childcare setting and offers education-focused curricula and family support services. The organization is hiring for an Early Head Start (EHS) Teacher to create rich learning opportunities in indoor and outdoor environments and to support each child’s development.
Responsibilities- Utilize center environments (indoor and outdoor) to create developmentally appropriate learning opportunities aligned to daily routines.
- Build caring relationships with infants and toddlers to support their development and learning.
- Implement an education curriculum and promote social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Collaborate with team members to support children and families in a safe, supportive environment.
- Infant/Toddler CDA, required, or
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, required, or
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in any field with willingness to obtain specialized credentials;
Emphasis in Infant and Toddler Development certificate, required.
This position may involve participation in a 1–2 week training course provided by the organization.
