Structural Steel Welder - Newport, KY

We are currently seeking a structural steel welder for our steel erection group. Iron worker and metal building erection experience is a plus but not required.

• Weld structural steel connections for new and retrofit steel erection projects.
• Inspect welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
• Fit, connect, and bolt up structural steel.
• Perform steel cutting with a torch and grinding.
• Assist with steel erection connections and bolt up.
• Operate equipment rigging.
• Pre‑engineered metal building erection.
• Follow job site safety and regulations, maintain a safe and clean work area, and identify safety hazards to protect self and others.

• Certification in stick structural welding.
• OSHA 10/30 certification, preferred. If you do not have OSHA 10/30, it will be required before starting the position (certification paid by company).
• Lift trained.
• RTF and forklift experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Candidates must have transportation and good communication skills.
• Willing to work within a 50‑mile radius; willingness to travel to other states for work is a plus.
• Ability to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions.

• Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities.
• Physical requirements:
  
  standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., seeing and reading.
