Sr. Project Manager – Mechanical & Process Piping

EGC Construction – Newport, KY (Greater Cincinnati Area). Full‑Time. 30% Travel. EGC Construction, an operating unit of Messer Construction Co., is currently seeking a Sr. Project Manager with commercial or industrial experience to join the team.

With offices in Newport, KY, EGC services local and regional clients with general, commercial and industrial construction services. As a Sr. Project Manager at EGC, you will be responsible for both the financial and operational success of commercial and industrial construction projects. You will handle project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, and ensure safety and quality compliance throughout the project. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and deliver project scopes and schedules to achieve client objectives.

• Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle—from planning to closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
• Lead project planning, risk management, and resource coordination
• Support estimating and preconstruction efforts
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Oversee procurement, equipment buyout, and material tracking.
• Monitor progress to ensure safety, quality, and schedule goals are met.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of experience in construction project management (mechanical/piping preferred)
• Experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and P&IDs
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
• Commitment to safety and quality on every project
