EGC Construction, an operating unit of Messer Construction Co., is currently seeking a piping foreman for the Process/Utility Piping Systems in the Food and Beverage and Pharmaceutical Industries.

• Mentor and help to grow lead craft workers
• Manage contract administration (subcontract/field management meeting for communication)
• Read and interpret P&IDs
• Understand isometric drawings and build according to the drawings
• Understand specification books and ensure the correct materials are used
• Understand welding procedures and identify acceptable and unacceptable welds
• Develop a program to maintain strong client relations with on - site staff
• Initiate and attend supplemental and regular meetings with clients for problem resolution and planning
• Manage site labor to meet or exceed labor productivity goals
• Assist Project Managers in preparing necessary labor, materials, rental equipment and schedule extensions for change orders
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
• Maintain daily for record keeping purposes
• Ensure that all performance evaluationsarecompleted ina timely fashion for direct reports
• Recommend, where appropriate, organizational, policy and procedural or staff changes

• 8+ years construction experience (3+ years ina foreman/leadershipcapacity)
• OSHA 30 Certified
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to quickly learn and understand various processesregardingprocedures and software programs
• Ability toidentifyand help resolve any problems that may arise
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations,planning and contract administration
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Candidates must have reliable transportation
• Be willing to work within a 75-mile radius.
  
  Willingness to travel to other states for work is a plus
• Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions
