Tool & Die Maker - 1st Shift

Build, repair and maintain dies, diagnose issues, correct and improve tooling and fixtures to support production.

• Build and repair precision tooling, jigs and fixtures using machine shop tools and measuring instruments.
• Work from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools, dies and jigs.
• Set up and operate all tool room equipment.
• Work hands on with lathes, mills, surface grinders and all tool room equipment.
• Heat treat different metals and test hardness.
• Assist production with problem solving on tooling issues.
• Safety conscious to include proper use of P.P.E.
• ProtoTRAK mill experience a plus.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Climate controlled factory environment; working in and out of presses with tooling. Exposure to industrial environments, including oils, solvents, and machinery (PPE provided).

Standing and walking up to 100% of work time. Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs to include pushing, pulling, bending, reaching and some stooping.

Minimum 5 years proven experience working as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment. Journeyman’s Tool and Die Maker’s card or certification a plus.
