Process & Utility Piping Laborer

Messer Construction is seeking a Process & Utility Piping Laborer to support installation of process and utility piping on industrial and commercial projects. In this skilled labor role, you will assist with layout, cutting, threading, and installing pipe under the direction of experienced pipe fitters, following strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include material handling, basic blueprint interpretation, tool and equipment operation, and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, assembly, and support of process and utility piping systems
• Measure, cut, thread, and fit piping per drawings and specifications
• Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely on active construction sites
• Support senior pipe fitters and foremen with layout and alignment tasks
• Follow Messer safety policies, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and piping schematics as directed
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store tools and equipment
• Participate in safety meetings and ongoing skills training
