The Ion Center is looking for compassionate individuals that will support and serve victim‑survivors residing in our Northern Kentucky shelter, ensuring that we are providing the best care and most welcoming environment for them. Residential Crisis Intervention Specialists play a key role in the services we provide through case management and goal setting, leading group sessions, maintaining facility cleanliness, answering hotline calls, and addressing other needs as they arise.

Under the supervision of the Site and Program Management, provides full range of crisis intervention and case management services to primary and secondary survivors of crime, with a special focus on victims of partner violence, sexual violence, and stalking, assisting victims to work towards safety and self‑sufficiency.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Intake and Assessment- 1.1 Maintain client confidentiality
- 1.2 Field crisis hotline calls, texts, and chat.
- 1.3 Assess and identify client needs.
- 1.4 Provide and connect clients with community resources.
- 1.5 Assist clients with completing agency paperwork.
- 1.6 Aide clients in developing safety plans.
- 2.1 Provide trauma informed individual/family and or group counseling.
- 2.2 Educate survivors on topics relevant to partner violence, sexual violence, and stalking.
- 2.3 Identifying client individual goals relevant to benefits, childcare, education, budget, and housing needs.
- 2.4 Transport clients to meet goals.
- 3.1 Provide support for clients as they navigate the legal system, including accompanying clients to court, educating on legal system, assisting clients on filing protection orders.
- 3.2 Support Ion Center in providing essential services to victims, including hospital advocacy on call, hotline, and emergency shelter.
- 3.3 Collaborate with community partners, law enforcement, medical staff, and social service agencies.
- 3.4 Assist clients with crime victim compensation.
- 4.1 Maintain client files and documentation.
- 4.2 Attend related meetings and trainings.
- 4.3 Report stats for funders.
- 4.4 Accept and disseminate donations.
- 4.5 Contribute to a clean, healthy, and trauma informed work environment.
- 4.6 Collaborate as a team across agency sites.
