Special Education Teacher (K–12)
Location: Coastal School District (multiple sites)
Start Date: August 27, 2026
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week | 9-month contract
Pay Rate: $57/hour
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support K–12 students across a welcoming coastal district. In this role, you will help students reach their full potential through individualized instruction, thoughtful planning, and strong collaboration.
What You’ll Do- Provide high-quality instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver small‑group and one‑on‑one instruction in resource room settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families
- Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Valid state teaching certificate (required by state/district)
- At least 1 year of teaching experience (preferred)
- Preferred certifications:
Elementary Teaching, Secondary Teaching, Special Education Teaching, Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement (preferred) - CPR certification if required
- Health clearance and TB screening (as required)
- Must meet all state and federal requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
