Hotel Porter​/Houseman

We are looking for a reliable, energetic Houseman to keep our property running smoothly and looking immaculate. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating a welcoming, stress-free environment for our guests by handling guest requests, keeping public areas spotless, performing basic maintenance, and supporting our housekeeping team.

• Respond quickly to guest requests with a friendly attitude. Deliver extra linens and supplies to guest rooms, and cover shifts or support other departments (like laundry and housekeeping) as needed.
• Keep the lobby, hallways, restrooms, event spaces, stairwells, exterior grounds, and dumpster areas clean and presentable.
• Set up and break down furniture and equipment for events and meetings.
• Handle basic minor repairs, swap light bulbs, rotate mattresses, and shampoo carpets. Report larger maintenance issues to management.
• Maintain outdoor areas by sweeping walkways, watering plants, and pulling weeds. Keep storage closets organized and help restock hotel supplies and chemicals.

• Experience:
  
  1+ years of experience in hospitality or property maintenance preferred. High school diploma or GED is a plus.
• Sharp Eye for Detail:
  You take pride in noticing the little things in cleanliness and catch details others might miss.
• Adaptable & Dependable:
  Flexible to work changing hours, weekends, or shifts based on seasonal demands and occupancy.

  Ability to handle simple calculations for inventory and accurately measure/weigh cleaning chemicals.
• Team Player:
  Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a safety-first mindset.

• Ability to stand and walk for 6 to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and up to 40 lbs occasionally.
• Comfortable bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, carrying, and pushing/pulling heavy carts or furniture.
