Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Newport, OR | Acute Care

Contract | Days | Onsite

• Provide direct nursing care to acutely ill adult patients on a Medical Surgical unit
• Support patients undergoing both emergent and elective surgical procedures
• Deliver care in accordance with the highest standards of professional nursing practice
• Collaborate with registered nurses and nurse assistants to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding appropriately to changes in status

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required at time of submission
• Healthcare Provider Level AHA BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

• Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing
• Experience caring for adult patients in an acute Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with both emergent and elective surgical patient populations

• Work in a unit that actively encourages and supports specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing
• Be part of a team committed to delivering the highest standards of professional patient care
