Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of professional practice. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care and facilitates recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient status promptly.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care activities precisely and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active, unencumbered Oregon RN license.
• Maintain Healthcare Provider Level AHA BLS certification.
• Possess NIHSS certification.
• Have relevant experience or training in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Show willingness to pursue specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing.
