Client Services Driver
Lincoln County Behavioral Health is looking for a Client Services Driver to assist with pick up and drop off individuals (clients) who are participating in treatment services with Adult Mental Health to and from their place of residence. Transportation needs fulfilled by the Client Services Driver include one-way or round-trip rides to Lincoln County Health and Human Services {LCHHS), other County government or social services agencies, medical and dental providers, public and private businesses, field trips, and related therapeutic services as outlined in the individual’s treatment plan.
This role involves operating Lincoln County vehicles: route and time schedules vary.
$20.09 - $27.00 per hour*

Operate Lincoln County vehicles on various public and private roads for the purpose of providing required door-to-door transportation services:- May follow a scheduled route with multiple stops or provide single trips for specific individuals based upon the treatment plan developed by clinical staff or at direction of supervisor.
- Interact in a professional, encouraging manner with all individuals.
- Aids individuals who need help entering, being seated, using the seat belt, or exiting the vehicle.
- Act as a courier service for morning mail run between Waldport, Newport, and Lincoln City, as assigned by program manager.
- Deliver office supplies between Waldport, Newport, and Lincoln City, as assigned by program manager.
- Prepares daily trip reports that include protected health information (PHI), subject to HIPAA requirements.
- Fuel vehicle and is responsible for monthly fleet services checks for all vehicles assigned to the Adult Mental Health program.
- Responsible for interior and exterior cleanliness of all vehicles assigned to the Adult Mental Health Program.
- Follow established County procedures if an accident or a passenger incident occurs to insure passenger and driver safety and security.
- Report any unusual incidents or any concerns to the individual's case manager, therapist prescriber/nurse or program manager.
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum Experience LevelNone
Driver’s LicenseOregon Driver's License required within 30 days of hire; must maintain insurable driving record.
Desirable QualificationsExperience working with individuals who are actively addressing mental health and addictions problems is preferred. Bilingual and/or bicultural competencies for the Latino population are preferred.
Knowledge of- Extensive knowledge of the Lincoln County area and the ability to operate a County vehicle in a safe manner.
- Evaluate and respond appropriately to emergency situations as they occur.
- Interact and work with individuals with emotional, cognitive, and physical disabilities.
- Demonstrate an awareness of individuals' physical abilities and to assist as needed.
- Demonstrate the skills needed to interact effectively with individuals with a mental illness.
- Always maintain safety of the passengers and driver while loading or unloading passengers, operating the vehicle, and picking up or returning individuals to their place of residence.
- Document your daily trips.
