Senior Staff Accountant

Our client, a well-established and growing organization, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning the month‑end close process, partnering with cross-functional teams, and contributing to process improvements within a collaborative environment.

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
• Assist with external audits, internal audits, and tax support
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting best practices
• Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, Operations, and HR to support business objectives

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

• CPA or CPA‑eligible
• ERP system experience
• Experience mentoring or leading accounting staff
• Background supporting audits, tax, or compliance initiatives
