Occupancy Specialist

Description We are looking for an Occupancy Specialist to support housing compliance and resident-facing services for a real estate and property organization. This opportunity offers a path to a permanent role and is ideal for someone who combines strong customer service skills with experience managing tax credit and subsidy-related documentation. The person in this role will work closely with residents to gather required information, complete recertification activities, and maintain accurate records in property management systems.

Responsibilities:

- Guide residents through interviews and explain documentation needed for occupancy, subsidy, and compliance processes

- Manage annual and interim recertification files from collection through completion, ensuring deadlines are met

- Review, organize, and obtain required forms from residents and third-party sources to support eligibility verification

- Enter resident and compliance information into software systems with a high level of accuracy

- Apply knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit requirements when evaluating files and processing documentation

- Coordinate follow-up with residents and external contacts to resolve missing or incomplete information

- Maintain complete and audit-ready records related to tax credit, subsidy, and occupancy requirements Requirements - Experience working with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC/LITCH) programs and related compliance processes

- Background handling recertifications, subsidy documentation, or affordable housing occupancy files

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to review records for completeness and accuracy

- Customer service experience supporting residents or tenants in a service-focused setting

- Comfortable collecting documents, verifying information, and managing sensitive data confidentially

- Proficiency with data entry, order entry, or property management software systems

- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment Talent Match®
