We are looking for an Occupancy Specialist to support housing compliance and resident-facing services for a real estate and property organization. The person in this role will work closely with residents to gather required information, complete recertification activities, and maintain accurate records in property management systems.
Responsibilities include guiding residents through interviews and explaining documentation needed for occupancy, subsidy, and compliance processes; managing annual and interim recertification files from collection through completion, ensuring deadlines are met; reviewing, organizing, and obtaining required forms from residents and third-party sources to support eligibility verification; entering resident and compliance information into software systems with a high level of accuracy; applying knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit requirements when evaluating files and processing documentation;
coordinating follow-up with residents and external contacts to resolve missing or incomplete information; and maintaining complete and audit-ready records related to tax credit, subsidy, and occupancy requirements.
