SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Submarine Systems Engineer

Job Summary
SEACORP has a need for a full-time professional with a current Final Secret (or above) DoD security clearance based at our Newport, RI customer site as Submarine Systems Engineer. In this position, the candidate will provide direct support in the testing and evaluation of Virginia and Columbia platform requirements applicable to submarine tactical systems. The selected applicant will perform work in the development, verification, and operation of Onboard Team Trainer (OBTT) scenarios that will be used during test and evaluation of DoD submarine systems.
During test events, the selected applicant will fill the position of OBTT system operator and assistant test director that is part of an existing Test & Evaluation (T&E) Team.
- Development of submarine mission relevant Test Scenarios.
- Operation of OBTT during test events.
- Performance of Test Planning and Test Coordination activities.
- Making Data Collection recommendations for information required for post-test analysis. Assisting the test team with analysis of data collected against system requirements.
- Drafting reports of test findings on whether the systems under evaluation are properly designed, implemented, and configured.
An Engineering discipline Bachelor of Science degree (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity) or additional relevant system experience is required. Advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy "C" School) and at least 3 years of directly related experience in submarine tactical systems and operation (e.g., service and qualification aboard a U.S. naval submarine or service at U.S. submarine school command) is required.
ExperienceA minimum of 3 years of recent experience with at least one system within the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) network.
Additional Experience Required- Experience with SWFTS OBTT operation and the development of mission scenarios.
- An understanding of submarine operations to develop realistic engagement scenarios across submarine mission areas.
- Knowledge of processes for analysis and reporting related to System Engineering, and/or Test & Evaluation.
- Experience with multiple SWFTS systems’ operation and/or detailed understanding of SWFTS networking architecture is a plus.
- Certification(s) applicable to Cybersecurity Workforce (such as CompTIA Security+) is a plus.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.
