Overview
Noblis MSD is seeking a Computer Engineer to support the U.S. Navy in Newport, RI. The role supports the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, and cybersecurity related to submarine and surface ship platforms.
Remote/hybrid status is subject to change based on Noblis and/or government requirements.
Responsibilities- Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs.
- Provide support for installation of computers and computer‑related equipment.
- Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and systems.
- Analyze users’ needs and design, construct, test, and maintain computer applications software or systems including operating systems, network distribution, and compilers.
- Conduct troubleshooting and solve technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks.
- U.S. Citizen with a DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Experience installing submarine software or networked systems on Navy platforms.
- Experience using the PEO C4I AI process in lab environments supporting submarines or surface ships.
- Prior work experience directly supporting NUWCDIVNPT Code 25 submarine Tactical Networks programs.
- Familiarity with CANES (AN/USQ-208), SubLAN (AN/USQ-177), ADNS, and Tactical Networks Next Generation architectures and modernization roadmaps across SSN, SSBN, and SSGN platforms.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
